At the onset of the pandemic, transitioning to collaborative tools like Figma became essential. I played a key role in leading that shift for the Google smart devices team, ensuring a smooth and efficient rollout. The adoption was remarkably successful, Figma quickly became a cornerstone of our design workflow, dramatically improving cross-functional collaboration and accelerating our design cycles.
Responsibilities:
Established Figma as the primary collaborative design platform, structuring libraries, components, and permissions for efficient team adoption.
Created and maintained reusable components, patterns, and tokens aligned with brand, accessibility, and platform standards.
Partnered closely with engineering to ensure design-to-code parity and smooth handoff workflows.
Drove cross-functional alignment by working with product, UX research, and marketing to integrate system usage into everyday workflows.
Developed documentation, onboarding materials, and best practices to support designers at different levels of system maturity.
